Emma Pulido

Strategy Manager

As a Strategy Manager at Purpose, Emma brings together social science research skills, prior professional experience in digital communications, and a commitment to multicultural perspectives in her work.

Before joining the Purpose team, she served as a Zolberg Research Fellow at the International Rescue Committee’s Airbel Impact Lab, where she helped ideate and prototype games designed to increase gender equity in the IRC’s field teams. Prior to her fellowship, she conducted fieldwork on the management of migration in Lesvos and Sicily, worked as the Communications Coordinator for the New School’s Studley Graduate Programs, assisted the media relations team at the Americas Society/Council of the Americas, served as an Editorial and Social Media Management Consultant for a travel media start-up, and volunteered in Rio de Janeiro. She began her career as an AmericorpVISTA member working at the intersection of juvenile justice and arts education in her hometown of New York. 

Emma received her BA in International Studies from Macalester College and her MA in International Affairs from the New School’s Studley Graduate Programs in International Affairs. In her off hours, she is often with friends, watching movies with subtitles, or tracking down snacks from around the world.
