Purpose is excited to announce an extraordinary new leader is joining our team of 150 people in eight countries, and leading our expansion westward in the U.S.
Corrie Frasier joins Purpose as our new Partner + Managing Director, Philanthropic Partnerships, North America, and the head of a new Seattle office. She comes to Purpose from Uncommon, the consulting and community-building firm she founded in 2012, and brings with her a Seattle-based team with extensive experience helping philanthropies and other purpose-driven alliances and organizations bring new ideas to life. Before Uncommon, Corrie spent eight years as a leader at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she worked closely with Purpose on reimagining the Foundation’s approach to public engagement.

Corrie brings to Purpose her vision, heart and strategic wisdom at a crucial moment on some many of the issues we work on and care about.”
As leaders & experts in the philanthropy space, the addition of Corrie & Uncommon marks a leap forward in how Purpose works with this crucial sector. Over the past 8 years, Corrie and her team have built programs with and advised teams from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Nations Foundation, Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, the George Lucas Educational Foundation, Washington Global Health Alliance, PATH, Malaria No More, the Entrepreneurship Funders Network, and more.
Corrie and her team also bring a significant Seattle and West Coast presence to Purpose, a key locus of emerging philanthropy and social sector activity, and one where many Purpose partners are already based.

With over two decades’ experience partnering with philanthropies and other purpose-driven alliances, Corrie has a strong track record of building community partnerships, innovating public engagement strategies, and developing new programs. Her expertise spans an array of issues ranging from global health to education access in the U.S., with all efforts centered on building more effective systems for deep change. Justice, equity, and inclusion for people with disabilities is a major area of interest for Corrie, and one she plans to build on using the Purpose platform and model. She currently serves on board of Seattle Adaptive Sports, where her teenage son played wheelchair basketball before winning an athletic scholarship to play intercollegiate ball for Edinboro University.
Along with Corrie, two key Uncommon team members will also be joining the Purpose team. Gina Carter, Project Manager, and Julianne Alarcio, Program Manager, will be joining our project management team and we are excited to add their expertise and experience to our ranks.
